Stanley Cup Final To End On Historic Note

Rare NHL Game 7 to Be Played

Stanley Cup Final to End on Historic Note

Years of Preparation Come Down to One Night

In the NHL Stanley Cup Final, Game 7 is a rare yet critical event. Of the 17 winner-take-all games since 1939 in the Stanley Cup Final only twice has the game-winning goal come in overtime. The first was in 1950 when Pete Babando scored the Cup winning goal in double overtime of game 7. The second was in 1987 when Mark Messier scored the game-winning goal in overtime of game 7.
