Olympic Games 2024: ARD and ZDF to Broadcast Hundreds of Hours Live on TV

Major German Public Broadcasters Secure Rights for Comprehensive Coverage

Over 1,500 Hours of Live Coverage Planned by ZDF Alone

Berlin – The upcoming Olympic Games 2024 in Paris will be broadcast live on German television for hundreds of hours. The public broadcasters ARD and ZDF have secured the rights to broadcast all 329 medal decisions, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies, live and without interruption.

ZDF plans to broadcast over 1,500 hours of the Games live, while ARD's coverage will also be extensive. The rights were acquired from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

In addition to the live broadcasts, ARD and ZDF will also offer comprehensive online and mobile coverage of the Games. Viewers will be able to watch all events live or on-demand, as well as access highlights, news, and analysis.
